Arthur Simms Company History
Nearly 100 years ago Arthur Simms, a carpenter joiner moved to St Albans to work on the building of St Saviours church. He married and settled in St Albans, set up his own building company and built many houses in and around the city during his lifetime.
Arthur Simms earned a reputation as a honest man and as a craftsman. This tradition was maintained by his son and daughter in the family business through to the ninteen sixties.
The third and fourth generations of the same family are now continuing the same family traditions by building both new homes and converting old buildings to homes for the twenty first century.
